This is that period of the year where saccos pay members interest on rebates and dividends accrued from the previous year. The Metropolitan National SACCO Society Limited which is one of the oldest saccos has announced how 2019 interest on rebates and dividends will be paid out.
Through a notice seen by our team, the sacco indicates that the interest of members’ deposit (Interest Rebates) for financial year 2019 has been processed and payment has been done on pro-rata basis at a rate of 6.25% compared to 6.0% in the year 2018.
The sacco further advices that 50% of this payout has been availed for access through FOSA accounts of members.
In line with the transformation strategy as outlined in 2019 annual general meeting, the giant sacco further advices that remaining 50% is already reflecting in Back Office Withdrawal Deposits.
“Dividends on shares have been availed in full through your respective FOSA accounts”, said Christopher K. Karanja who is the chairman of Board of directors.
Esteemed members have been encouraged to avoid cash withdrawal over the counter, but instead utilize mobile banking platform and all Visa branded ATMs.
