List of constituencies in Vihiga County, Registered Voters, Current MPs and Ward

Vihiga County is a county that is located in the Western Region of Kenya .

Vihiga County has an area of 530.9 KM² and as per the 2019 Census, the population of Vihiga County was five hundred and ninety thousand and thirteen (590,013) people.

In the 2017 General Elections, Vihiga County had a total number of two hundred and seventy two thousand four hundred and fifteen (272,415) registered voters.

The Governor of Vihiga County is H.E Ottichilo Wilber Khasilwa and the Vihiga County senator is Hon. George Khaniri . The Women Representative of Kakamega County is H.E Adagala Beatrice Kahai.

Vihiga County is divided into five (5) constituencies and sixty (25) electoral wards. The Constituencies include Vihiga, Sabatia, Hamisi, Luanda and Emuhaya Below is the list if the five constituencies, Members of Parliament per constituency, wards and number of voters.

Vihiga Constituency     

Hon. Ernest Ogesi Kivai is the current Vihiga Constituency Member of Parliament. Vihiga Constituency has four wards which include; Lugaga-Wamuluma, South Maragoli, Central Maragoli and Mungoma. It had 45,315 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.

Sabatia Constituency 

Sabatia Constituency is represented Hon. Alfred Agoi Masadia. It has six wards which include; Lyaduywa/Izava, West Sabatia, Chavakali, North Maragoli, Wodanga and Busali. The Constituency had 63,035 registered voters in the 2017 elections.

Hamisi Constituency     

The Member of Parliament of Hamisi Constituency is Hon. Charles Gumini Gimose. The Constituency has seven wards which include; Shiru, Gisambai, Shamakhokho, Banja, Muhudi, Tambaa and Jepkoyai. It had 73,357 voters in the 2017 General Elections.

Luanda Constituency     

Hon. Christopher Omulele is the Luanda parliamentary representative. Its wards are five and they include; Luanda Township, Wemilabi, Mwibona, Luanda South and Emabungo. It had 49,214 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.

Emuhaya Constituency     

Hon. Jeremiah Omboko Milemba is the current Emuhaya Constituency Member of Parliament. Emuhaya Constituency has three wards which include; North East Bunyore, Central Bunyore and West Bunyore. It had 41,494 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
