Uasin Gishu County is one of the 47 counties in the Republic of Kenya located in the North of the Rift Valley. The County is about 322 kilometers from Nairobi City.
The county is borders nine counties which include; County, Baringo County, Nandi County, Elgeiyo-Marakwet County, Nakuru County, Trans-Nzoia County and Kakamega County.
The Governor of Uasin Gishu County is H.E. Jackson Mandago while H.E. Hon Daniel Kiprotich Chemno is the Deputy Governor.
The Senator of Uasin Gishu is Hon. Margaret Kamar while HON. Gladys Boss Shollei is the Women Representative. Hon. David Kiplagat is the Speaker if the Uasin Gishu County Assembly.
Uasin Gishu County has four hundred and fifty thousand and fifty five (450, 055) and eight hundred and sixty eight (868) polling stations as per the two thousand and seventeen (2017) General Elections.

It is Represented Hon. Silas Kipkoech Tiren and it has five wards which include; Tembelio, Sergoit, Karuna/Meibeki, Moiben and Kimumu . It had 68,923 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
It is represented Hon. Caleb Kipkemei Kositany. It has seven wards which include; Moi’s Bridge, Kapkures, Ziwa, Segero/Barsombe, Kipsom Ba, Soy and Kuinet/Kapsuswa. Soy Constituency had 81,867 registered voters in the 2017 elections.
Hon. Oscar Kipchumba Sudi is the member of parliament in this constituency. It has five wards which include; Simat/Kapseret, Kipkenyo, Ngeria, Megun and Langas. Kapseret had 66,582 voters in the 2017 General Elections.
This constituency is represented by Hon. Swarup Ranjan Mishra. Kesses Constituency has four wards which include; Racecourse, Cheptiret/Kipchamo, Tulwet/Chuiyat and Tarakwa. It had 67,139 in the 2017 General Elections.
The member of parliament for this constituency is Hon. William kamuren Chirchir Chepkut. It has three wards which include ; Kapsoya, Kaptagat and Ainabkoi/Olare. It had 54,797 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Turbo Constituency has six wards and is represented by Hon. Janet Jepkemboi Sitienei. The six wards which include; Ngenyilel, Tapsagoi, Kamagut, Kiplombe, Kapsaos and Huruma. It had 110, 851 in the registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
