Meru County is among the counties that are located in the Central Region of Kenya. Meru County has an area of 7,006.3 Km². Meru County borders Isiolo County to the North and North East, Tharaka County to the South West, Nyeri County to the South West and Laikipia County to the West.
As per the 2019 Census, the population of Meru County was one million five hundred and forty five thousand seven hundred and fourteen (1,545,714). In the 2017 General Elections, Meru County had a total number of seven hundred and two thousand, seven hundred and seventy six (702,776) registered voters.
The Governor of Meru County is H.E Kiraitu Murungi. The Senator of Meru County is Hon. Franklin Mithika Linturi and Hon Kawira Mwangaza is the Women Representative.

Igembe South Constituency
Igembe South Constituency has five electoral wards which are Maua, Kegoi/Antubochiu, Athiru, Gaiti, Akachiu and Kanuni. The Constituency Representative is Hon. John Paul Mwirigi. In the 2017 General Elections, Igembe South Constituency had a total of 68,166 Voters.
Igembe Central Constituency
Igembe Central Constituency has five electoral wards which are Akirang’ondu, Athiru, Ruujine, Igembe East Njia and Kangeta . The Member of Parliament of Igembe Central is Hon Cyprian Kubai Iringo. In the 2017 General Elections, Igembe Central Constituency had a total of 83,985 Voters.
Igembe North Constituency
Igembe North Constituency has five electoral wards which are Antuambui, Ntunene, Antubetwe Kiongo, Naathui and Amwathi. The Member of Parliament is Hon. Richard Maore Maoka. In the 2017 General Elections, Igembe North Constituency had a total of 67,350 Voters.
Tigania West Constituency
Tigania West Constituency has five electoral wards which include; Athwana, Akithi, Kianjai, Nkomo and Mbeu Ward. Its Member of Parliament is Hon. John Kanyuithia Mutunga. In the 2017 General Elections, Tigania West Constituency had a total of 64,114 Voters.
Tigania East Constituency

North Imenti Constituency
North Imenti Constituency has five wards; Municipality, ntima East, Ntima West, Nyaki West and Nyaki East . The Member of Parliament us Hon. Abdul Rahim Dawood. In the 2017 General Elections, North Imenti Constituency had a total of 89,698 Voters.
Buuri Constituency
Buuri Constituency has four wards which areTimau, Kisima, Kiirua/Naari and Ruiri/Rwarera . Hon. Mugambi Murwithania Rindikiri is the Buuri Constituency Member of Parliament. In the 2017 General Elections, Buuri Constituency had a total of 76,033 Voters.
Central Imenti Constituency

South Imenti Constituency
