Mandera County is located in North Eastern Kenya. Wajir County covers an area of 25,991 Km². Mandera County borders both South Sudan and Ethiopia. Mandera County also borders Wajir County.
The Population of Mandera County as per the 2019 Kenya Population and Housing Census the population was eight hundred and sixty seven thousand four hundred and fifty seven (867,457). In the 2017 General Elections, Mandera County had a total of one hundred and seventy five thousand six hundred and fifty (175,650) registered voters.
The County Governor of Mandera is H.E Ibrahim Roba Ali. Hon. Mahamud Mohamed Maalim is the Senator of Mandera County and the County’s Women Representative is Hon Hassan Amina Gedow.
Mandera County is divided into six (6) constituencies; Mandera West, Banissa, Mandera North, Mandera South, Mandera East and Lafey and thirty (30) electoral wards.

Mandera West Constituency
Hon. Adan Haji Yussuf is the current Mandera West Constituency Member of Parliament. The Constituency has five electoral wards which are Takaba South, Takaba, Lagsure, Dandu and Gither. In the 2017 General Elections, the Constituency had a total of 26,816 Voters.
Banissa Constituency
Hon. Kulow Maalim Hassan is the current Banissa Constituency Member of Parliament. The Constituency has five electoral wards which are Banissa, Derkhale, Guba, Malkamari and Kiliwehiri. In the 2017 General Elections, the Constituency had a total of 18,476 Voters.
Mandera North Constituency
Hon. Bashir Sheikh Abdullah is the current Mandera North Constituency Member of Parliament. The Constituency has five electoral wards which are Ashabito, Guticha, Marothile, Rhamu and Rhamu Dimtu. In the 2017 General Elections, the Constituency had a total of 51,231 Voters.
Mandera South Constituency
