KASNEB Examination Timetable May 2020

kasneb is a professional examinations body established under the Accountants Act, No. 15 of 2008 and the Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya Act, Cap 534 of 1988, with the mandate to develop syllabuses, conduct professional, diploma and technician examinations; certify candidates in accountancy, finance, credit, governance and management, information technology and related disciplines; promote its qualifications nationally, regionally and internationally and accredit relevant training institutions.

The body has advised candidates to make early arrangements, including seeking permission from their employers where applicable, to ensure that they sit for the examinations within stipulated time.

The examination dates for the May 2020 examinations are as follows:

(a)  Tuesday, 26 May 2020 and Wednesday, 27 May 2020

  • Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS) – Levels I and II
  • Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD) Levels I, II and III
  • Diploma in Information Communication Technology (DICT) Levels I, II and III
  • Diploma in Credit Management (DCM) Levels I, II and III

(b) Tuesday, 26 May 2020 to Thursday, 28 May 2020

  • Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Parts I, II and III
  • Certified Secretaries (CS) Parts I, II and III
  • Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA) Parts I, II and III
  • Certified Information Communication Technologists (CICT) Parts I, II and III
  • Certified Credit Professionals (CCP) Parts I, II and III
  • Certified Procurement and Supply Professional of Kenya (CPSP-K) Parts I, II, III and IV

(c) Tuesday, 26 May 2020 and Wednesday, 27 May 2020

KASNEB Entry Requirements

Professional examinations

A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the professional examinations must show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C+ (C plus) or its equivalent.
  • Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with at least TWO Principal passes provided that the applicant has credits in Mathematics and English at Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) level or equivalent qualifications.
  • kasneb technician, diploma or professional examination certificate.
  • A degree from a recognised university.
  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination grade C in 6 papers with C in both English and Mathematics.
  • Such other certificates or diplomas as may be approved by kasneb.

Diploma examinations

A person seeking to be registered as a student for any of the diploma examinations must show evidence of being a holder of one of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade C- (C Minus) or equivalent qualifications.
  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examination grade D.
  • Any other kasneb technician or diploma examination certificate.

Certificate examination

A person seeking to be registered as a student for Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS) qualification must show evidence of being a holder of the following minimum qualifications:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination with an aggregate average of at least grade D (D Plain) or its equivalent.
