IEBC Suspends Another Parliamentary Election Indefinitely

Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission, IEBC, has suspended another Parliament election in  Rongai constituency of Nakuru County. This means voters will not be permitted to choose their preferred representative following the postponement of the election.

According to sources, owing to a ballot paper mix-up with Kuresoi South’s, voting on the Parliamentary seat category was indefinitely postponed.

What went wrong, or what will happen to the voters who showed up at their particular polling booths, is still a mystery.

Elections for other five positions of president, governor, senator, female representative, and county assembly member are still on.

This comes barely a day after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that the counties of Kakamega and Mombasa would not take part in the governor’s election, this suspension has been announced.

Elections for members of National Assembly in Pokot South and Kacheliba constituencies have also been suspended due to errors on ballot papers.
