TSC Withdraws all teachers from Ndooni Primary after parents heinous act

Teachers Service Commission has responded swiftly to recent death of a teacherĀ  at Ndooni Primary school who was allegedly burnt to death by irate parents. Ndooni primary is found in Endau Zone, Mutitu Sub-county, Kitui County.

According to press statement sent to media, the commission has withdrawn all the the six TSC teachers who have been working in the station.

The commission has further indicated that it will not post any teacher to Ndooni primary school until the security of teachers is assured in region.

Death of Madam Mbathe Mbaluka

According to reports from TSC fieldĀ  officers, a group of parents stormed the school on Monday morning (6th January 2020) and closed it for undisclosed reasons. It was later reported that the deceased teacher was burnt to death.

TSCĀ  has sent condolence message to the family, relatives, friends and pupils and teacchers at Ndooni primary school.

”The commission regrets the unfortunate death of the teacher and takes this opprtunity to condole with her family, relatives, friends and pupils and teachers at Ndooni primary school”, read part of the statement.

The commission has also indicated it will take necessary measures, including petitioning for the closure of institutions where security of teachers is at risk.

Last year January

Incidents of parents students attacking and molesting teachers are on the rise and have caused panic, fear and anxiety amongst teachers.

Last year on January 24, 2019 a form two student killed a Physics and Computer Studies teacher-Mr Peter Mogusu Omare,Ā  at Hopewell Secondary School at Rhonda area, Nakuru County.

It was reported that the student is alleged to have conspired with others to kill the teacher.
