TSC Responds To Recent Attacks On Teachers By Learners

Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has responded to to recent attacks on teachers by learners.

Response from the TSC, comes barely a day after a form three student stabbed two teachers at Kisii High School after being summoned to the office for missing to attend morning preps.

In a statement, the teachers’ employer noted with regrets and further urged teachers to mentor children positively.

“TSC regrets the recent attacks on our teachers by the leaners in Kisii and the attempted attack by another student in Mokwerero Sec School in Nyamira County. Let’s all Kenyans of goodwill help mentor our children positively”, read a statement from the teachers’ employer.

Charged

A Kisii High School student who stabbed two teachers was on Wednesday morning released on Sh50,000 cash bail or Sh100,000 bond.

The 17-year-old suspect appeared before Kisii Senior Resident Magistrate Stephen Onjoro and pleaded not guilty to two counts of attempted murder

His lawyer Ben Gichana requested the court to release his client on reasonable bond terms.
