“Those who applied for Junior Secondary permanent (9000/DEC/2022) and/or internship (21550/DEC/2022) are required to update and provide additional information,” read a statement on TSC website.

In order to gather additional information, TSC has created Junior Secondary School applicants Additional Information Collection Portal.

Applicants will have to log in via the provided link and enter their TSC No, Mobile No, Official Names, County Applied and nature of the problem.

“In case of any challenge, email: jssapplications2022@tsc.go.ke Ensure you provide your TSC No, Mobile No, Official Names, County Applied and nature of the problem,” further read a statement on TSC website.

The deadline to submit these additional information has been slated for 30th December 2022.

Earlier this month the commission announced 10,000 positions for teachers employed on permanent pensionable terms and 25,550 slots for interns to curb the shortage of teachers in the country.

Out of the positions available for teachers employed on pensionable terms 9,000 slots are meant for permanent secondary school teachers while the other 1,000 slots are for primary school teachers.

Similarly, out of the positions, meant for interns, 21, 550 slots are for intern teachers for junior secondary schools whereas the other 4,000 slots are set for primary school interns.

The vacancies announced aligned with President William Ruto’s directive to recruit 30,000 teachers for the academic year 2023
