Teachers employed by Teachers Service Commission (TSC) are entitle to an annual leave travel allowance that is usually paid together with the salary of month of January.

Payment of annual leave allowance is in line with current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). According to the 2021-2025 CBA, teachers in grades B5 and C1 will earn the lowest annual leave allowance at Sh4,000.

The highest earner will pocket Sh10,000 per year.
