TSC advertises for paid Internships (12 months) ; How to apply, Payment, Responsibilities

Teachers service commission has advertised for paid internship.

Application Instructions:

1. Agree to comply with the instructions below to proceed with your application.
2. From the Vacanicies Section select the position you wish to apply for and click the “Apply” button.
3. Upon completion of each section ensure you click the “Save” button to save your entries before moving to the “Next” section.
4. Upon completion of your application ensure you click the “Submit my Applcation” to complete your application for the selected vacancy.
5. You will be notified through SMS on each successful job application you submit.
6. You can monitor the status of your job application from “My Applications” section
NOTES FOR APPLICANTS
1. It is a serious offence to willfully give false information to the Teachers Service Commission.
2. All parts of this form must be completed by all applicants.
3. Do not apply for any post unless you possess all the qualifications given in the advertisement.
4. If you are invited for an interview by the Commission, bring your original certificates and testimonials
but make sure that they are returned to you before you leave.

1. HR Management and Development – Intern

Job Description

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is an Independent Commission established under Article 237 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. In line with Government Internship Policy, the Commission intends to offer internship opportunities to qualified youth in various areas of specialization to accord them an opportunity to gain practical work experience which will improve their competencies and competitiveness in their career life.

Duties and Responsbilities

Successful applicants will be deployed either to the TSC Headquarters or TSC County/Sub County Offices.

Requirements

i) Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences preferably in Government, Sociology plus a Higher Diploma/Diploma in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration/Management from a recognized institution or
ii) Bachelors Degree in Public/Business Administration or Social Psychology from a recognized institution with a Postgraduate qualification in Human Resource Management or Bachelors Degree in HRM/HRO
iii)Be a Kenyan youth aged between 21 and 35 years.
iv) Must have completed their training and graduated in the last three (3) years

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
1) Must be a person of unquestionable integrity
2) Must be goal oriented, dynamic, self-driven and diligent individual.
3) Should possess good interpersonal, communications skills and be a team player.

INTERNSHIP DURATION
The Internship positions will be for a period of twelve (12) months.

PAYMENT
This is a non-remunerative position. However, the selected Interns will be paid a stipend of twenty-five thousand (Kshs 25,000) per month.

i)The Commission does not guarantee employment after completion of the Internship Programme.
i)Selected Interns shall be required to have a personal accident insurance to cover for personal risks during the internship period. They will also be required to have medical insurance cover by the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) or any other reputable medical insurance firm.
