Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is set to promote suitable applicants to fill 827 positions of Chief Principal (16), Principal(516), Deputy Principal I(91) and Deputy Principal II(204) as per the career professional guidelines (CPG).

Advertised posts comes after the Labour and Employment Relations Court made a ruling that clearly stated how teachers’ promotions will be carried.
“TSC will undertake promotions in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Code of Regulations for Teachers and the schemes of service with respect to all unionisable tutors,” Judge Byram Ongaya ruled on July 13 this year.
This move comes barely a week after the commission advertised a total of 6043 administrative posts in primary under grade C5 (T-Scale 10) and deputy head teachers II under grade C4 (T- Scale 9).

Interested candidates who meet the required qualifications should make their application online through TSC website www.teachersonline.go.ke so as to be received on or before 17th September, 2019.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to present the following documents during interviews:
- Certificate of good conduct
- Clearance certificate from Higher Education Loans Board(HELB)
- Clearance application from EACC
- Clearance certificate from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
- KRA Tax Compliance Certificate
