Teachers Service Commission(TSC) has cautioned its prospective employees against falling prey of fraudsters soliciting money in the ongoing recruitments.
In a statement, the teachers’ employer through its head of corporate affairs, Beatrice Wababu, has reminded the general public that it neither charges money nor collects money through personal mobile phone money services or bank accounts to employ teachers.
“We wish to remind teachers and the general public that TSC does not charge money to employ teachers. Report any attempts at soliciting money to secure employment to phone numbers 0722208552 or 0777208552 or the nearest police station,” stated Wababu.

However, Wababu has stated that the commission charges only money for registration of teachers and replacement of registration certificates.
She said, “TSC charges money for registration of teachers and replacement of registration certificates and this is paid to official TSC Bank Accounts. The details of these charges and Bank Accounts are available on TSC website.”
Suitable applicants are currently racing against time to see to it they apply for teaching vacancies that were advertised by the commission earlier this month.
The deadline for application is slated for September 14, 2020 and applications are submitted on the commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke.
