KUCCPS Opens Portal For School/Center Application For KCSE 2021 Candidates

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is a State corporation established under the Universities Act, 2012 to coordinate the placement of Government-sponsored students to universities and colleges, among other functions.

KUCCPS is pleased to announce that the online application portal is now open to all secondary school principals to upload programme choices submitted by the 2021 KCSE examination candidates in their respective schools/examination centres.

The portal may be accessed by all schools/examination centres with 2021 KCSE candidates to apply for degree, diploma, certificate and artisan certificate courses in universities and colleges under government sponsorship.

School principals are urged to ensure that each of their KCSE candidates provides their programme choices in the various categories (degree, diploma, craft certificate and artisan) and submit those choices via the Principal’s Portal.

How to apply for KUCCPS Courses 2022

Step 1: Visit the KUCCPS Website students.kuccps.net and log into your account on the student portal page.

Step 2: Once you’ve logged in you will be asked to provide the index number of your respective KCSE examination. Next, write the corresponding year when you sat for the KCSE examination. In the password section, you need to provide the number of your birth certificate. If you are not able to provide that then you can enter your KCPE index number instead.

Step 3: After you’ve successfully signed into your account on the web portal  click on the ‘Courses/Programmes‘ option. Now,  select the domain under which your desired course appears and finally click on the desired programme.

Step 4: After the selection of courses, a page pops up which shows the required cluster points (for all the subjects of the specific course), a list of similar courses (along with a key that represents the concerned college) and the respective course codes of all the courses offered by this institution.

Step 5: On completion of selection of desired courses, the next step is to pay the application fees through Mpesa. To make KUCCPS application fees through Mpesa follow these steps:

  1. Visit Mpesa on the mobile phone.
  2. Click on the option which reads as ‘Pay Bill’.
  3. Enter the Business number ‘820201’.
  4. Finally, you have to provide your exam year (KCSE) followed by the index number (11 digits)
  5. Enter your desired amount
  6. Enter the Mpesa PIN and just send it.

Enquiries may be sent to info@kuccps.ac.ke or by calling our customer care line 0205137400.

Please note that the school/centre application system will close on April 1, 2022.

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service takes this opportunity to wish all the 2021 KCSE examination candidates success.
