The Kenya National Examination Council, KNEC, has released KCSE 2020 timetable, instructions and guidelines. This comes at a time when projects for group IV subjects are underway. KCSE 2020 Examination kicked off in January with candidates being examined on group IV subjects.
KNEC has indicated that candidates are expected to upload their marks in two milestones.
“Schools should upload marks for subjects with a Project component by 31st March for Milestone 1 and 15th July for Milestone 2”, says KNEC CEO Dr. Mercy Gathigia Karogo
According to the council, all first session examination papers will start at 8.00 a.m. The start time for second session examination papers is as indicated on the timetable.
KCSE 2020 candidates will take their first sit in exam on Monday 2nd November, 2020. English (101/1) Functional writing skills will be the first exam in the morning with English (101/2) (Comprehension, Literary Appreciation & Grammar) coming later in the day.
The three week exercise will come to an end on Wednesday, 25th November 2020.
KCSE 2020 Supervisors and Invigilators
Just like in the case of previous years, supervisors and Invigilators will see to it that candidates have written their names, index numbers and have signed on their answer scripts before they collect the answer scripts from each candidate while the candidates are advised to ensure that they only take the subjects they are registered for.
The time allowed for each paper will indicated against the name of the paper and NO EXTRA TIME IS TO BE ALLOWED. In case of any discrepancy, the time stated on the question paper should be taken as the correct one.
In addition, KNEC has said that time for reading through questions is part of the time shown on the question paper except where special paper instructions indicate otherwise.
