CS Machogu Urges TSC To Frequently Train Teachers

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has today (Wednesday) the 9th day of November 2022 met with TSC officials.

During the meeting the newly appointed CS urged the teachers service commission (TSC) urged TSC to frequently train teachers.

“Engage teachers in frequent training and be part of the delivery of the upcoming national exams,” the CS said.

The Teachers Service Commission CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia and chair of the board Jamleck Mututi are among the officials that attended the meeting.

Machogu urged teachers to work together in a bid to improve education system  and the learners at large.

Hon. Ezekiel Machogu thanked the commission for the continued support towards teachers and learners, and has promised regular engagement with them. The Ministry of Education Director General Dr. Elyas Abdi was also in attendance.

The meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Education headquarters in Jogoo House, happened days to the national exams.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will administer the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national examinations between November and December this year.

Rehearsals for KCPE, as well as the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA), will be conducted on November 25, 2022, with the exams officially beginning on November 28 and ending on November 30, 2022.

KCSE, on the other hand, will be rehearsed on November 18, and thereafter sat for between November 21 and December 23, 2022.
