West Pokot County borders Turkana County to the North, Baringo County to the East, Elgeyo Marakwet County and Trans Nzoia County to the South and Uganda to the West. The County is divided into four constituencies namely Kapenguria, Sigor, Kacheliba and Pokot South.
West Pokot County is in the North Rift of Kenya, occupying an area of 2,884.4 square kilometres. Its capital, Kapenguria, is the largest town in the county. The Governor of West Pokot County is H.E. Prof. John Krop Lonyangapuo while H.E. Nicholas Omop Atudonyang is the Deputy Governor. The senate majority leader, Samuel Poghisio is the Senator of West County and Hon Lilian Cheptoo Tomitom is the Women Representative. Hon Catherine Mukenyang is the current Speaker of the West Pokot County Assembly.
Accodrding to the 2018 census, West Pokot County had six hundred and twenty one thousand two hundred and forty one (621,241) people. The county had 180, 241 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections with seven hundred and twelve (712) polling stations.

Kapenguria Constituency
Hon. Samwel Moroto Chumel is the current Kapenguria Constituency Member of Parliament. Kapenguria Constituency has six wards which include; Riwo, Kapenguria, Mnagei, Siyoi, Endugh and Sook. It had 55, 610 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Sigor Constituency
Sigor Constituency is represented Hon. Peter Lochakapong. It has four wards which include; Sekerr, Masool, Lomut and Weiwei. The Constituency had 33,929 registered voters in the 2017 elections.
Kacheliba Constituency.
The Member of Parliament of Kacheliba Constituency is Hon. Mark Lomunokol. The Constituency has six wards which include; Suam, Kodich, Kasei, Kapchok, Kiwawa and Alale. It had a total of 42,632 voters in the 2017 General Elections.
Pokot South Constituency
Hon. David Losikau Pkosing is the Pokot South parliamentary representative. Its wards are four and they include Chepareria, Batei, Lelan and Tapach. It had a total of 48,070 registered voters in the 2017 General Elections.
