Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has reminded its employees to file their individual tax returns for the year 2019.
In a circular dated 9th April 2020, Dr. Macharia has urged employees of the commission to perform the task through KRA online portal before the set deadline.
“All TSC employees are hereby reminded to file their individual tax returns for the year 2019 through the KRA online itax platform (https://itax.kra.go.ke) by 30th June 2020 as required by income tax act”, said Dr. Macharia.
Dr. Macharia further indicated that the tax deduction cards (P9 Forms) have been uploaded on TSC payslip portal for all TSC employees to download. This will facilitate filing of returns.
At the same time, the TSC boss noted that the commission is working hand in hand with KRA to update itax records for the year 2015 to 2019 so as to expedite issuance of Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC).
“You are also informed that the commission is working jointly with KRA to update the itax records for the year 2015 to 2019 to facilitate issuance of Tax compliance certificate (TCC)”, added Dr. Macharia
