This is a girls only national public boarding secondary school. The school was brought into existence in the year 1933 after the girls had been brought In from St. Joseph’s school which was a mixed school. This was to ensure that most girls were enrolled and that the togetherness would help boost their general performance.
When the school was fairly new, it faced quite a number of challenges such as inadequate infrastracture such as classrooms, the school library, dormitories and laboritories. They also faced certain social challenges such as poor academic standards as well as under- enrollment. However, they managed to rise from this and the school is now a national school.
