A KCSE student of Gesiaga secondary school in Nyamira county has passed on after a mathematics paper.
The student complained of general body weakness a move that prompted the school administration to rush him to hospital.
Unfortunately, he could not make it to hospital. He died on the way.
His father Joshua Ongaga, who is a teacher at a local primary school, said his son had a history of heart complications.
“My son has a heart problem and we have been taking him for medication, his last session being at The Mater hospital in Nairobi,” he said.
The deceased student whose real name is Mong’are, is among the 664,585 candidates who will sit for this year’s KCSE exam that kicked off today.
