Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology is a public TVET centre in Kenya that was established in 1924 when the late paramount chief of Bukusu, Mzee Sudi Namachanja donated 610 acres of land to Dr. Cameron, who was a Scotish veterinarian to establish a centre for vaccination and treatment of livestock. The name ‘Sang’alo’ is derived from the local Bukusu language ‘sangala’ which means happiness.
