KUCCPS 2020 University entry cut-off points for 2019 KCSE candidates

KUCCPS has announced that all students who scored above C+ will have an opportunity to join university and pursue a course of their choice, provided they meet minimum requirements.

Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service, KUCCPS on Monday cleared the air and brought an end to speculations on cut-off points to university.

125,746 students who met university entry marks, are expected to join university for 2020 intakes.

In KCSE 2019, a total of 688,928 qualified for placement to tertiary institutions at various levels under Government sponsorship. Further, the placement body indicated that a total of 193,vacancies in both public and private universities were up for grab.

“Universities have declared a capacity of 193,878, which is enough to absorb all those who met the minimum requirement for admission to degree programmes and are willing to pursue courses in Universities,” said KUCCPS CEO Dr John Muraguri in a statement.

Hope for 563,479 students who scored C and below is not dashed for they stand. This is because KUCCPS indicated that they stand chance to join Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
