MoE Advertises Job Vacancies For Teachers; Salary Over sh100,000; Qualifications, How To Apply

It is good news for teachers after the Ministry of Education advertised job vacancies with a monthly salary of up to Ksh 101,000

Through a notice seen by Jambo News, the ministry led by Cabinet Secretary George Magoha said it was looking for 115 suitable applicants to fill the positions of senior quality assurance and standards officers.

Interestingly, successful candidates will take home a monthly salary of between Kshs 63,000 and Kshs 101,000 including allowances.

In addition, candidates will also be entitled to a travel allowance of Ksh 8,000, a leave allowance of Ksh 6,000 as well as housing allowance and medical allowance as per the prevailing conditions.

Those who will secure these opportunities will be will be tasked planning and conducting quality assurance and standards assessments as well as producing quality assurance and standards assessment reports.

Furthermore, they will advise school boards on standards and coordinating school activities and programs.

Applications must be submitted by Monday, April 4, 2022.

Here are the requirements

According to the notice all applicants must be teachers who have served in the Teachers Services Commission (TSC) Job Group M or equivalent position for three years.

Another requirement is that applicants should also hold a Bachelor of Education or equivalent degree from a recognized institution, as well as a certificate in Computer Application Skills.

Applicants must also demonstrate merit and ability as evidenced by their performance and work results.

To create an account, teachers will need to update their academic qualifications supplemented by primary and secondary education certificates as well as those at higher level.

Applicants must upload certified copies of academic and professional certificates and transcripts through the online portal.

After the exercise, shortlisted candidates will be required to produce original ID cards and certificates along with a letter of appointment to their current substantive positions during the interview.
