Ministry of Education (MOE) 2020 Term dates/Calendar of events for Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary and Teacher Training Colleges

Ministry of Education has released 2020 official term dates. In a circular dated 12th February, 2020 the government has distinctly outlined the dates for the following crucial activities for Pre-primary schools, Primary schools, Secondary schools and Teacher training colleges;

  • Opening dates for 2020 term one, term  two and term three.
  • closing dates 2020 term one, term  two and term three.
  • Half Term for term one and term two (Pre-primary, primary and secondary)
  • Examination Period for both 2020 KCPE and KCSE

Term one and Term two will each carry 14 weeks for Pre-primary, Primary and Secondary schools while term three which will be quite shorter will carry 9 weeks.

1. MOE Pre-primary and primary schools 2020 Term dates

Half term: 15th to 19th June, 2020

Closing: 7th  August, 2020

Term 3 2020

Opening: 31st August, 2020

Closing: 23rd October, 2020

Examination period(KCPE): 2nd November, 2020 to 5th November, 2020
