Police are looking into the death of a Sacho High School teacher, whose body was discovered in the school’s swimming pool on Wednesday night under mysterious circumstances.
At around 11 p.m., the lifeless body of Ivan Komen, 30, was discovered by the school swimming pool attendant.
Komen also served as the school’s game master.
While confirming the occurrence, Sacho location Chief Philip Korir expressed regret for the teacher’s death, stating that the report was made by the pool attendant.

“I was informed of the news by Samuel Cheburet, who is a swimming pool attendant at the school, that he had seen a body inside the pool, I immediately rushed to the scene where we saw the body of the deceased floating inside in the pool,” said the chief.
He further stated that he alerted police personnel from the Kabarnet police station, who assisted in recovering the body and processing the situation.
According to police sources, the deceased had a minor injury on the forehead, and some of his personal goods were also discovered in the pool.
The teacher is believed to have gone missing shortly after evening courses, and after a thorough search, his lifeless body was discovered floating in the pool.
The chief urged the kids and residents not to suffer in silence and to seek assistance as soon as possible.
