KUPPET Threatens To Instigate Process Of Firing CS Magoha

Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Uasin Gishu Secretary General Elijah Maiyo has threatened to initiate the process of firing Education Cabinet Secretary Magoha’s over the abusive remarks he made last week.

According to the report by Citizen TV, Mr. Maiyo was addressing the media in Eldoret on Monday morning after the controversial video featuring the CS went viral online.

In the video that made rounds online, CS Magoha insulted the County director in front of students, parents, teachers and visitors. Magoha was seen reprimanding the grey-haired senior citizen before dismissing him.

“It is embarrassing for the CS to ask teachers to collect rubbish, the mess was there because there is an ongoing construction at the school,” Maiyo stated.

Mr. Maiyo further directed CS Magoha to offer an apology citing that it was totally wrong a person in the position of CS to refer to an education officer as a fool.

“We are asking the CS to issue an apology immediately, failure to which we are going to seek legal redress because it is unbecoming for a man of his stature to refer to an Education Director as a fool,” stated Maiyo.

Mr. Maiyo also urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack CS Magoha, accusing him of ineptitude.

At the same time, Mr Maiyo noted that should the matter go unresolved,  they will boycott all the CS’s meetings in the region.
