KNEC Payment rates for KCPE and KCSE 2019 Contracted Professionals

The Kenya National Examination Council has released payments rates for all personnel who will man this years’ KCSE and KCPE.

Overall, some 1,088,986 candidates are registered to sit KCPE, while 699,745 will sit KCSE.

Personnel that will be involved in the manning of both KCPE and KCSE 2019 include, center managers (Principals and Headteachers), invigilators, supervisor, drivers and security officers.

This year’s KCPE exams will commence on 29th October, 2019 and end on 31st October, 2019. Sit in exams for KCSE are expected kick off on Monday 4th November and run all the way to Wednesday 27th November, 2019.

For officers who will man Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) will be paid as shown in the structure below;

Unfortunately, just like previous years the Council has not factored in payment for Deputy Head Teachers and Deputy Principals, despite the fact that they will be present during the examination period as assistant Centre Managers.

Also walking home empty handed are teachers handling science subjects who will be required to prepare and administer practicals during the KCSE examinations.
