The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has released KCSE 2019 Timetable. Just like previous years, the timetable contains two sessions. All first session examination papers will start at 8.00 a.m. The start time for second session examination papers is as indicated on the timetable.
According to KNEC instructions given to schools for 231/3, 232/3, 233/3, 236/3 and 441/2 will be opened on 7th October 2019. Schools should upload marks for subjects with a Project component by 31st March for Milestone 1 and 15th July for Milestone 2 respectively.
443/3 Agriculture (Project), 451/3 Computer Studies (Project), 442/3 Art and Design (Project), 444/2 Woodwork (Project), 445/2 Metalwork (Project) and 446/2 Building Construction (Project) will run for seven (7) months from January 2019 to July 2019.
2019 candidates will be examined 501/3 French (Oral & Braille) 502/3 German (Oral) 503/3 Arabic (Oral), 504/3 Kenyan Sign Language (Practical Signing Skills) and 511/1 Music (Practical) starting Monday 21st October, 2019 to Friday 25th October, 2019. Each candidate will be given 15 minutes.
Rehearsal day for KCSE 2019 will be on Friday 1st November, 2019.
The first sit-in KCSE 2019 exam will kick off on Monday 4th November, 2019. Candidates will be tested in 101/1 English (Functional skills) in the first session and 101/2 English (Comprehension, Literary Appreciation & Grammar) in the second session.
The month long exercise will be concluded on Wednesday 27th November, 2019.
The time allowed for each paper is indicated against the name of the paper and NO EXTRA TIME IS TO BE ALLOWED. In case of any discrepancy, the time stated on the question paper should be taken as the correct one. Time for reading through questions is part of the time shown on the question paper except where special paper instructions indicate otherwise.
