KMTC Embu Campus Background Information & Location
Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Embu campus is one of the 67 constituent campuses of KMTC. The campus is located about 1km from Embu town along the Embu-Meru highway behind the Embu level 5 Hospital in Embu county, Kenya.
The campus was established in 1975 by the missionaries as a Health Training College. It remained under the administration of Sister Barry as the principal. This went on until 1987 when KMTC took over the management of the campus, offering Enrolled Community Nursing Certificate course. It was not until 1987 that KMTC Embu Campus was officially opened by Kenneth Matiba. The campus currently has over 750 students enrolle.

The facilities available at KMTC Embu Campus include;

KMTC Embu Campus Clinical Experience Sites
The campus is located near the Embu County Teaching and Referral Hospital. This enables the students to get the exposure they need to competent staff and top of the range equipment among other necessary stuff. Therefore, this makes the Embu County Teaching and Referral Hospital to be the primary clinical experience site. Other sites include Kianjoma health center, Kiritiri Health center and Kibugu Health center.
