KMTC Chwele Campus Background Information and Location

Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) – Chwele Campus is a constituent campus of KMTC that as established on 23^rd September, 2014, offering Certificate in Health Records and Information as its first course. At that time, the campus had only 101 students. The campus is situated on a 29.5 acre piece of land in Kabuchai constituency, Bungoma county, off the Bungoma-Kimilili junction south of Sichel Mixed Boys and Girls Secondary School. The land that the institution sits on was procured by the Constituency Development Fund under Moses Wetangula, who was the Member of Parliament at the time. The construction cost ksh.90 million with the help of the Iranian Government.

It was not until September 2017 that the campus started an upgrading Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology. The campus currently has a total population of 250 students.

The institution has plans of adding a few programmes and courses into its curriculum. They include;

-Certificate in Nutrition

-Diploma in Nutrition

-Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse
