KCSE 2019 Results to be released today

KCSE 2019 Results will be released today on Wednesday 18th December 2019. This will be the earliest release since the onset of 8:4:4 system. Last year KCSE was released on 21st December 2018.

Reliable sources have indicated that Education stakeholders have been invited for the release of the results at Knec headquarters on Dennis Pritt road. They are required to be seated by 9am.

On the last day of KCSE 2019, CS Magoha assured all education stakeholders that the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results will be released before Christmas. True to his words, professor Magoha has fulfilled his promise.

A total of 699,745 candidates sat KCSE 2019 in 10,287 centres across the country.  21 cases of examination malpractices were reported and 90 mobile phones confiscated from candidates during the examination.

A total of 26,597 teachers marked this year’s KCSE examinations in 20 stations in Nairobi and its environs.

Marking of the examination scripts began on 28th November, just a day after the last paper was completed. Examiners worked untiringly hard and by Thursday, 12th December they were done with marking.

KCSE exam is usually administered during the month of November and results released before the end of the year. The exams started on October 21 with practical papers, while written papers began on November 4.
