Gov’t Extends Form One 2021 Reporting Dates

The ministry of education has extended the reporting date for form one 2021. This now means that the last day of form one admission is 13th August 2021.

The week-long extension of the reporting dates is to  see to it that all the 2020 KCPE candidates are admitted to Form One in the spirit of the 100 per cent transition. the Ministry had decided to extend the reporting period by one week to enable parents/guardians enroll their children in various secondary school.

Initially the exercise exercise was scheduled to start from Monday, 2nd August 2021 and close on Friday, 6th August 2021.

According to the circular from the ministry of education dated 6th August, 2021, a majority of the students have reported to their schools across the country, but there are still a number of students that have yet to be enrolled.

At the same time, all principals of schools have been directed to admit all learners reporting, including those who may not have the full school fees.

Ministry of education further noted that the mop up exercise to ensure 100 per cent transition will assume a multiagency approach involving various state agencies like in the previous years.

“You are, therefore, directed to ensure elaborate plans and strategies are put in place to reach out and enroll all remaining students to secondary schools by end of the extension period,” read part of the circular sent to all regional and county directors of education.
