Elation As Twins Score Same Marks KCPE 2021

A family in Nairobi is over the moon after their pair of twins managed to attain same marks in the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam results that were released today. 

The two Bett Lindsey Kiprotich and her fraternal twin Bett Lee Kiprotich scored 414 marks just 14 points away from the top pupil Magata Bruce Makenzi of Gilgil Hills Academy.

Bett Lindsey Kiprotich and Bett Lee Kiprotich who attended Mountain View School in Nairobi, together with their parents were extremely delighted by the results.

Lindsey says though she was in the same class with her twin brother, they have never tied and that this was a surprise.

“I used to be on top of him in class,” she says. “When these results came, I was actually in shock, we have never even tied in class but I am happy by the results.”

She further says the only subject they used to tie was mathematics and this was evident even in the KCPE results where they both scored 85.

“Sometimes, he would get 380 and I would get a 410, first time it is happening,” she said. “We would only tie in Math where we would both get 100 or 95%.”

This is how Bett Lee performed; English 89A, Kiswahili 85A, Mathematics 85A, Science 75A and Social Studies and Religious Studies 80A for a total of 414 marks.

On the other hand Bett Lindsey scored as follows; English 86A, Kiswahili 82A, Mathematics 85A, Science 76A, Social Studies and Religious Studies 85A for a total of 414 marks.

Lindsey dream is to secure admission in The Kenya High School while her brother, who is in Kericho undergoing initiation dreams to join Mang’u High School.
