Embu County is among the counties that are located in the Eastern Region of Kenya. Embu County has an area of 2,820.7 Km². Embu County borders Muranga County to the South West, Kirinyaga County to the West, Tharaka Nithi County to the North, Machakos County to the South, Kitui County to the East and Meru County to the North.
As per the 2019 Census, the population of Embu County was six hundred and eight thousand five hundred and ninety nine (608,599). In the 2017 General Elections, Embu County had a total number of three hundred and nine thousand seven hundred and thirty one (309,731) registered voters.
The Governor of Embu County is H.E Martin Nyaga Wambora. The Senator of Embu County is Hon. Ndwiga Peter Njeru and Hon Njiru Jane Wanjuki is the Women Representative.

Manyatta Constituency
Manyatta Constituency has four wards. The six wards in Manyatta Constituency are Ruguru/Ngandori, Kithimu, Nginda, Mbeti North, Kirimari and Gaturi South. Hon John Muchiri Nyaga is the Member of Parliament of Manyatta Constituency. In the 2017 General Elections, the Constituency had a total of ninety nine thousand six hundred and two (99,602) Voters.
Runyenjes Constituency
Runyenjes Constituency has six wards. Gaturi North, Kagaari South, Kagaari North, Central Ward, Kyeni Nort and Kyeni South are the wards in Runyenjes Constituency. Hon. Eric Muchangi Njiru is the Member of Parliament of Runyenjes Constituency. In the 2017 General Elections, the Constituency had a total of eighty six thousand nine hundred and seventy seven (86,977) Voters.
Mbeere South Constituency
Mbeere South is a Constituency in Embu County and it has five wards which include; Mwea, Amakim, Mbeti South, Mavuria and Kiambere. The Constituency’s Member of Parliament is Hon. Geoffrey Kingagi Muturi. In the 2017 General Elections, the Constituency had a total of seventy two thousand one hundred and forty three (72,143) Voters.
Mbeere North Constituency
Mbeere North Constituency has three wards. The wards include; Nthawa, Muminji and Evurore. The Member of Parliament of Mbeere North is Hon. Charles Muriuki Njagagua. In the 2017 General Elections, the Constituency had a total of fifty one thousand and nine (51,009) Voters.
