Investigations have been launched to determine the cause of damage to a section of classrooms at Kiamabundu Primary school in Nyaribari Chache, Kisii county.
Students in grade five at Kiamabundu Primary School woke up to an utter shock on Thursday 9th, June after learning that their classroom had collapsed.
According to the area chief John Ondade, the class collapsed at around 7pm in the evening and that they are working closely with a team of investigators to determine the cause of damage.
Speaking to the press, the area chief confessed that the remaining classes on the same block are visibly frail and that he is collaborating with the school administration to ensure students` safety first.
Further, the chief made a clarion call to stakeholders in the Ministry of Education, affiliate sponsors and Nyaribari Chache member of parliament, Richard Tong`i to join hands and ensure that normal school programs run without difficulty.
