Senior primary teachers are those who have stayed in teaching for many years and they stand a chance of being promoted to deputy headteachers.
Previously I wrote an article on the basic salary, rental house allowance, and commuter allowance of a p1 teacher, today am going to write on basic salary and allowances of senior primary teacher.
According to new CBA, senior primary teachers automatically moved up to grade C2. All deputies of primary schools were also automatically moved up to grade C5.
All primary head teachers of boarding and day schools will now automatically move up to Grade D1.
Basic Salary, Rental House Allowance, Commuter Allowance And Hardship Allowance
According to payslip seen by Jambonews, the senior P1 teacher under Grade C2 will earn as follows;
Basic Salary
Senior teacher will enjoy a monthly basic salary of kshs 37,721.
Rental House allowance
Here a senior teacher will pocket kshs 13,000 each and every month. This amount is more than that paid to a newly employed secondary school teacher.
Commuter Allowance
Kshs 6,000 is amount of shillings a senior primary teacher is entitled to each and every month.
Hardship Allowance
A senior primary teacher is entitled to a hardship allowance of kshs12,300.
