Trending news concerning universities offering unapproved degrees has left many students and parents disturbed.
The Commission for University Education, CUE, has scrapped a total of 133 courses being offered at local universities terming them as useless.
According to the report by CUE, Tom Mboya University College is the most affected. It offers 25 unapproved degree courses. Garissa University college and Alupe University are each offering 10 unapproved courses.

Among the 133 degree courses scrapped by Commission for University Education, Bachelor of Education, Arts and Bachelor of education Science are most affected with about 2,000 vacancies unapproved.
