The Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga has forgiven Gatundu MP Moses Kuria over assassination remarks against him.
Kuria, who appeared at the Milimani Law Courts tody over allegations of hate speech and incitement to violence, was allegedly caught on camera calling for assassination of the CORD leader following the IEBC scam that has seen the opposition hold demonstrations to push for the disbandment of the electoral body.
Raila who was speaking during the Requiem Mass of post-independence Minister Ngala Mwendwa at the AIC Church in Milimani, said publicly that he has forgiven Kuria. This is what Raila said
“I have forgiven Moses Kuria because someone who wants to kill does not announce. He added that “he was just entertaining the people. Lord forgive them for they do not know what they are doing.”
Moses Kuria together with other lawmakers were arrested on Tuesday over hate speech remarks. Those arrested include:
MPs Moses Kuria (Gatundu South), Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati), Ferdinand Waititu (Kabete), Junet Mohamed (Suna East), Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba), Aisha Jumwa (Kilifi Women Rep), Florence Mutua (Busia Women Rep) and Senator Johnstone Muthama (Machakos) were locked up at the Milimani Court cells awaiting the opening of the courts for the hearing of their case.
