Manchester United’s €25 million (£19.2m) bid for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, rejected by Borussia

Manchester United’s  €25 million (£19.2m) bid for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, has been rejected by Borussia Dortmund, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 27-year-old’s agent has been quoted as confirming Mkhitaryan’s desire to move to Old Trafford but the Bundesliga side are holding out for closer to €40m (£30.7m).

The Armenia international smashed 18 goals and registered a further 20 assists for Dortmund last season but manager Thomas Tuchel is already preparing for the attacking midfielder’s possible departure.

Wolfsburg star Andre Schurrle, formerly of Chelsea, is Tuchel’s key target to replace Mkhitarayan.
