KNEC Issues New Directives To Heads Of Institutions Affecting 2020 Exams

The Kenya National Examination Council has issued several directives to heads institutions even as progressive reopening of learning institutions begins to take shape.

In a circular dated October 29, KNEC chief executive officer Dr Mercy Karogo has said that materials of 2020 Business, Technical, ECDE and SNE examination will be delivered between 4th and 9th October 2020. KNEC boss was addressing sub county directors of education.

She said: “That the delivery of 2020 Business, Technical, ECDE and SNE examination materials will take place from 4th October 2020 to 9th October 2020. You are requested to inform the Deputy County Commissioners to be available for ease of receiving the materials.”  

 

Dr Mercy Karogo also instructed sub county officers to collect registration nominal rolls for the 2020 KCPE and KCSE between 4th and 9th October 2020.

“During the same time (4th October 2020 to 9th October 2020), KNEC officers will collect the 2020 KCPE and KCSE registration nominal rolls. In regard to this, you are requested to have collected them from the heads of Institutions,” directed Dr Mercy Karogo.

KNEC CEO further indicated that, ”2019 KCPE and KCSE academic certificates will be delivered to the Counties/ Sub Counties between 4th October 2020 and 9th October 2020.”

Sub county directors of education were also directed to bring this information to the attention of all heads of institutions and officers in charge of registration of the private candidates.

“Please bring this information to the attention of all the heads of institutions and officers in charge of registration of the private candidates in your Sub County,” directed Dr Mercy Karogo.
