School history and basic information
Kangeta Girls secondary school was started in 1969 as a Harambee school for girls. In 1972, a few boys were admitted to the school and it became a mixed school for a while. Later in 1976, the boys moved to start the current Njia Boys Secondary School. Kangeta girls school is sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Meru.
