12 students of Highway Secondary school rushed to KNH following an early morning inferno

Atleast 12 students of Highway secondary South B school are undergoing treatment at KNH after an early morning incident at the school.

Other unconfirmed reports are that about 31 students were injured in that morning inferno. Some suffered minor burns, soft tissue injuries and smoke inhalation.

However, Kenya Red Cross has clarified that the affected students are in stable condition.

KNUT Stand on Current arsons in school

The incident comes at the time when many schools have been adversely affected by the arson. KNUT Secretary General has blamed the ongoing arson in schools on delocalisation of school’s headteachers and principals.

Looming September strike

Sossion has reiterated that he will lead teachers into strike come September if the the commission will not halt the delocalisation program.
