Teachers Service Commission has released the just advertised vacancies per county in respective schools.
The Teacher Internship Programme is a one (1) year programme meant to equip and sustain competencies of persons entering teaching service.
The programme targets unemployed registered teachers to be assigned to learning institutions where their teaching experience will be enhanced through mentorship, coaching and exposure to practical teaching experience
In an advert seen by Jambo News, qualified teachers have been urged to apply for the slots via TSC website website :www.tsc.go.ke under Careers or www.teachersonline.go.ke by Monday, 27th September, 2021.
Teachers who are currently serving as interns are not eligible to apply. Similarly, teachers who were previously employed by the commission will not be candidates to this recruitment.
Teacher interns attached to Primary schools will be eligible for a monthly stipend of KShs. 15,000/=, while those attached to Secondary schools will be eligible for a monthly stipend of KShs. 20,000/=. The stipend will be paid subject to statutory deductions, where applicable.

Requirements for applicants
1.Be a Kenyan citizen
2.Be a registered teacher with Teachers Service Commission
3.Be a holder of a P1 Certificate for Primary school teachers and a minimum of a Diploma in Education Certificate for Secondary school teachers.
4.Have a original academic and professional certificates.
5.Should not have been in previous employment with the TSC as a teacher on permanent terms.
6. Be ready to be posted to any public educational institution in Kenya.
7. Must have a personal Accident Insurance to cover for Personal risks during the internship period .
In addition, successful applicants shall be required to produce;
1. A copy of the National Identity Card or passport
2.A copy of the teacher Registration Certificate/print out for the TSC online
3. A copy of National Council for Persons with Disability(NCPWD) card ,where applicable.
4. A valid Certificate of good conduct
5.Two (2) coloured passport size photographs.
6.A copy of National Health Insurance Fund(NHIF)card.
7. A copy of Kenya Revenue Authority Personal Identification Number (KRA PIN)
