Kiambu is one of the counties in vote rich Mount Kenya Region.
The county has twelve constituencies. They include: Gatundu South, Gatundu North, Juja, Thika Town, Ruiru, Githunguri, Kiambu and Kiambaa.
Others include Kabete, Kikuyu, Lari, Limuru.
United Democratic Alliance, UDA, Party has 11 eleven Members of Parliament from this county. The remaining one member of Parliament of Gatundu North vied as an independent candidate.
Kimani Wamatangi is the governor while the woman representative is Anne Wamuratha.
Karungo Wathang’wa is the senator of Kiambu county.
All the top three seats in the county were won through United Democratic Alliance Party.
