KMTC Lugari Campus Background Information & Location

Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) – Lugari Campus is one of the 71 constituent campuses of KMTC. It was established in 2014 through a community initiative led by the area MP Hon.Ayub Savula supported by the KMTC Board of Directors. The campus is situated in Mautuma Sub County, Lugari constituency, Kakamega County, Kenya. The campus operates in two sites, that is, at the Mautuma sub county Hospital and the former Dc Headquarters. KMTC Lugari campus currently has 123 students enrolled.

KMTC Lugari Campus Facilities

The facilities available at KMTC Lugari Campus are:

• A fully equipped computer lab with sitting capacity of 35 students
• A fully equipped skills lab
• Plenty of water supply
• A fully stocked library

There are future plans to bring in the following facilities at KMTC Lugari Campus:

• A storied modern administration block that will house classrooms and a library
• A bus and utility vehicle

KMTC Lugari Campus Clinical Experience sites

The main clinical experience site used by the students at KMTC Lugari Campus is the Mautuma sub County Hospital. However, all county and sub county hospitals across the country are used as clinical experience sites by the students.

KMTC Lugari Campus Clubs, societies and sports

The clubs available are Seventh Day Adventists (SDA), Christian Union (CU), Young catholic Students (YCS), scouts and drama whereas the sports available are high jump, long jump, athletics, short put, discus, volleyball, football, javelin and handball.
